(2004, 2006) Duration: 5' 30" Instrumentation: electric string quartet Alternate Versions: Availability: from the composer Recordings: n/a Program Notes: This is an arrangement of the live version of The Allman Brothers' Band theme song "Statesboro Blues" for amplified string quartet. I always thought it would be a great venue for any string quartet ensemble who could reach beyond their strict music conservatory training and play music that crossed over into rock, blues, or jazz. The arrangement also allowed the opportunity to explore some of my own early influences in blues and rock music.
